A Peek Beyond The Consequences (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
I was looking forward to reading this book I love this series. Tony and Claire Rawlings have been through a lot from the first book when Tony kidnapped her to get revenge from some sick vendetta that his grandfather started to Claire learning the truth and falling in love. I was hoping to get some answers that were left unsaid after the last book "Revealed: The Missing Years (Consequences Book 4)" unfortunately that was not the case and I was a little disappointed. The story was very well written as all of Aleatha Romig's books are and it was good to read about my favorite couple. I just wish that I would have learned who is sending the notes and letters and I would have liked to learn about the other baby that they had. I still don't like Emily although she didn't do anything in this book. This was a short quick read that only made me want more. I absolutely love all things Tony and Claire, so I knew I would enjoy this short-story. Things feel unfinished though, and I wonder if there is another full-length book in the future of this series. Unless I missed something pretty major, there is still a female nutso out there sending ominous letters. I am hoping there will be another book to wrap things up...and maybe another child in the future for Tony and Claire. A girl can hope!
