I normally don't read books like this, I liked to be swept away to different places and times. Times where people didn't swear and got married before they had sex. So I wasn't really surprised when this started to drag for me so I mostly skimmed threw and read the conversations and important stuff. The main character drove me crazy and I had a hard time with decisions she made, but it did end well and everything was brought full circle. 18 and up.Sex: Making out and implied sex, no detailed sex scenes.Language:Swearwords peppered through out.Violence:none In searching for free books for my Kindle, I stumbled upon this one. I have to say - for free, it's a bargain, especially compared to the other free books I've encountered. It's entertaining, and a fast read. The plot is predictable, the characters fit a bit too nicely into their molds, and Tessie's inability to realize how Christian feels is hard to swallow. I spent a good part of the novel rolling my eyes because, come on - he did everything short of screaming it at her. That said, the writing style is fluid and very readable. The dialogue is believable. The relationships are strong and also believable, for the most part. I easily fell in love with Christian. Had the on-again/off-again relationship between Tessie and Christian been tamed a bit, I'd have given this four stars for sure.I'd consider reading more of her work.
What do You think about A Previous Engagement (2011)?
Very cute, some twists and turns that I did not expect. The ending wraps it all up nicely.

A light fluffy, chick-flick book. Just what I needed.
