I really enjoyed reading this short story. And that could sound kinda weird, since the story can be described as creepy. But the thing I saw here is love, a twisted love, a tragic story but a story of love, after all. There are a lot of things that could have been better, if they'd acted different, but the true colors of Selene and Luthor made this a tragedy. It's sad, but it's powerful on its sadness and it gives intensity to the Godspeed story. This turns happier the ending of the inhabitants of Godspeed, it makes you think maybe there will be never a story like this again and that's a good thing. This novella is...uncomfortable, I think would be the best word to use. There's no doubt that it's well-written and no doubt that the story is good, but the story itself is unsettling. It gives an insight into characters met in Across the Universe, and to me it makes the series all the more tragic and, in some cases, unnerving. If you don't read this, you don't miss anything about the main story, but reading it gives the main series a little more depth. I wouldn't, however, read it if you're sensitive to stories about rape or harassment. It's a powerful tale, but, as I said, it's a bit unsettling.
What do You think about A Tak Mi Unikají (2013)?
Me encantó. Pobre Selene. Lástima que no salió Elder, pero al menos el encantador Harley sí.
