This came as a recommendation from a friend on Fb, it was free so I downloaded. I'm not sorry I did. For the most part, it was a good story told well. I liked the characters, especially Belinda and Claudette, but even their well-defined characters did not make up for the lack of likeability in Anson Poe. Even as the villain, I would have liked to have some reason to enjoy following his story. His devious nature was not realistic. Neither was the sickening sweet relationship between Bren and Julie. Love is one thing and I root for that, but their displays were as unbelievable as Anson's evilness. Again, it was a good story, but there were elements I did not buy into. A THOUSAND LIES excels in every way possible......From the very first word of Chapter One to the very last word of the Epilogue; you are swept up in the magic of Sharon Sala's story writing. I can't even begin to tell you how you will be caught up in these characters lives. The characterization is spot on; the emotions of each main character laid bare on the pages......so real that you can feel their pain, their love, their frustrations, their hopes for the future. You cheer most of them on; and you despise the character of Anson Poe like you've never despised a story character before! There's never a dull moment between the pages of this book! You won't want to put it down, and you won't want it to end!Sharon Sala aka Dinah McCall is one of the most remarkably gifted writers of our time, and she has outdone herself with A THOUSAND LIES!! Bravo!!
