Ugh, this was a tough read for me. The writing was barely mediocre - repetitive, jumpy, awkward. It was definitely in need of a (better) editor. There are so many times within the book when a topic is brought up for a second time but characters act like it's the first, or something happens to contradict what just happened in the previous paragraph. I kept rereading passages because I thought I was just being dense and missing things, but it was the writing that was tripping me up, not my wandering mind. Not sure I'll be continuing in the series. I won't be avoiding it, but I also won't be actively seeking it out. Aside from the fact that the story specifically states in the first couple of chapters that it's a sunny February and talks about early tourists coming round, and then suddenly talks about it being Autumn with the last of the tourists leaving, making it obvious someone wasn't editing carefully enough, this was a really good story. I enjoyed it thoroughly once I stopped being confused about what time of year it was taking place in. :)
What do You think about A Touch Of Gold (2011)?
Enjoyed the characters. Would definitely read more in this series.
