A dear friend of mine recently suggested this series to me. I have to say, I was skeptical at first. I had seen the books while browsing for new authors before, and after reading the description usually passed by. I have read other "stripper" books and they definitely didn't do it for me. Let me tell you I'm glad I took the time on this series! The books usually come in 3 parts for each main character and with some you can buy the whole trilogy for a great price! I'm pretty sure you could read each as a stand alone but man if you read from the start its amazing. This author has a knack for writing some very hot love scenes! She also manages to break your heart. LOL I know that doesn't sound like a good thing but she makes it better I promise. One of the best things I can say about this authors style is she is fantastic at making each character believable and unique without being cliché. With some authors secondary characters tend to either sound like they have the same voice in my head, fit some typical cliché (the bubbly funny friend etc.) or take away from the main characters story. Not so with C.J. Bishop! Each character adds to the story in a way that makes them feel like a family. I won't give spoilers for the book but highly recommend this series! When I stumbled upon this book on Amazon, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I have read a lot of M/M books. Some keep you hooked and some fizzle out by the end of the first page (yes I'm pretty critical). Abel was such a touching story to read. I won't give away too may details because there's nothing worse than having someone review a book and spoil it for you. I enjoyed reading what made Abel the way he is. The way he cares for those that he loves and how he reacts to that love being returned. Such a beautiful story that had me automatically downloading the second and third parts straight away.
OMG This was a great read. All I can say is bring on the rest.
