Absolument (2000) - Plot & Excerpts

I really enjoyed reading this book. I liked the characters and the mystery of trying to figure things out. The new characters were great too. I liked the family relationships of the Valentines and the contagious 'Love Conquers All' attitude. I liked the helping and the getting to know Preston better. I liked the new 'doctor' that was introduced and hope she'll be in the next book as well. I'd like to know what she knows. This series is a keeper and so far I've enjoyed reading all three. I'm looking forward to reading the next one, when/if I can get a hold of it. Sean and Lucy are fun and little exasperating, and I hope Aiden and Em find their HEA. Way to go Lone Ranger, and Lucy for the paintings. :) That was a great inspiration. Enjoy!!! There’s nothing like a book with a good mystery, smoking romance, and a satisfactory ending. With Absolutely, Positively, the reader gets all of that and more. I am really a fan of this series, and Webber didn’t lose any steam with the third installment.I’m loving all that is the world and life of Lucy Valentine. Her parents are a riot, her grandmother a caring mess, and her man sensitive and sexy. Lucy is keeping busy by using her unique gift of finding lost objects to unite long lost loves. But the police solicit her gift as well to help with cold case files. In this book Lucy is responsible for finding the lost love of a young girl while her mother and grandmother have asked her to look into the disappearance of a family friend. On top of that, there is a mysterious man about posed as the Lone Ranger and throwing out cash. Webber intricately weaves a romantic mystery in which many lives intersect, seemingly transparent people are more than they seem, and love really does conquer all. The pacing was perfect and the writing was excellent. Although I manged to solve both mysteries before the book ended, I was still completely enthralled and riveted the whole time. So much so that I finished this book in one sitting. I could NOT put it down.Lucy is just as lovable as she was in the first two books, and I was happy to see the romance between her and Sean progress. The relationship between the two is simply adorable, and the book provides some really private and intimate moments between the two. A writer who can nail this is a winner in my book. As I prefer a well written intimate scene over a scorching sex scene any day. Overall, this one is a winner. I am truly loving this series by Webber, and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book which is scheduled to drop in January.

Not a bad book, just a little slow for me. I like a bit more suspense.
