I really wanted to like this story, and I really did like the story, but the writing was really hard to follow at times and I would see myself skipping paragraphs to get to another spot in the book.I really enjoyed Lily and her story, and the crap she's been through, and then Tristan when he entered the picture. He's a strong dominant alpha male that we all love, and Lily is quite weak, so together it's like oil and vinegar, but you just love the two of them together.At times I wanted to smack Lily for her choices, and for having such terrible friends. Each of her "friends" we met in this book, really weren't there to help her in my opinion, but to have her around for their fun, and to get high with, and I think this is one of Lily's problems, she needs people who are truly there for her, and not with her to party and do crazy things with.Tristan is a broken rock god who is trying to make a come back. I can tell we have yet to dig fully into him, and can't wait to see what's next for him and what other things we can find out about him that make him the way he is. Tristan is a definitely unique character that I was drawn to, I wanted to know more about him and why he is the way he is. He has such a hard outer shell, but I think inside there really is a softie, he just isn't used to showing that side of him.I will be reading the next book in this series, even if I had problems with some of the writing, the story is magnificent and I can't wait to see what is next for these characters. I know it's going to be great.I do recommend this book, just beware like I said, sometimes the writing is hard to get into, but the story itself is simply amazing. I LOVED this book!! Alice takes the typical rocker book a twist. This is the story of Lily a journalist chasing her dream in the world of rock-n-roll. I loved this different look into the rock star lifestyle! She gets the opportunity of a lifetime to interview Tristan, the difficult rocker that she has admired from afar for years. What she didn't expect was the connection she would feel when he gives her an inside look into his newest solo album. The way that Alice writes this story is HOT, sexy, erotic. She can make you blush reading her words but it's not filth....it's sensual. And just wait for the limousine, HOLY SMOKES it is ON FIRE!!!! The sex scenes are written amazingly well...different. I was blown away by Alice's writing. I can't wait to read more of Lily's story!
