I didn't expect too much from this book as I'm not a huge fan of James Franco as an actor. I know he's an artist, as well, and thought maybe he'd be able to carry this. Incorrect. Now, I have heard a lot of good about his first book, Palo Alto, and some good about this one. With that said - that I didn't expect much - I didn't get much, either. The book truly made no sense. I'm not sure if he interviewed "actors" for this book, but it reads much like a diary written by 12 different people. Not sure if I even understand the reason behind his writing of it. I will still attempt Palo Alto, but this, I just don't get. I was seriously disappointed by this novel. I thoroughly enjoyed James Franco's Palo Alto and thought to give another work of his a shot, but this was not worth it. I felt as though it was disjointed and seemed quite narcissistic and annoying. I was looking for more of a similar feel to his previous book. What a shame, what a shame. I expected more from an intelligent and talented individual as James Franco.
What do You think about Actors Anonymous (2013)?
This was good. It was the first thing I read by James Franco and I surprisingly liked it.

I disliked this book. Franco needs to stick to directing or acting....
