I appreciate the relationship each of the character has and the the character development (which I will always wanted to devour). Even though there are a number of sex parts, it is just enough to leave something for the readers' imagination. I rated it 4 stars because the plot is really good. I laugh a lot, I also cried and fell in love with the main characters. Good conclusion, satisfying but it makes the reader craves more of the Calloway sisters, Cobalt and Hale brothers. Oh and btw, I just love Connor's intelligence and his relationship with Loren. I just love each of the characters! They really amuse me. (HAHA) I was cautious to start these series, because it was written by two authors. I just didn’t think that this could work, and I also thought that the books will be a bit flimsy. They weren’t. They dealt with serious problems, not in a book fashion way, where everything is good after the couple falls in love. No, the focus was on the recovery, on the everyday fight, on the days that were failure and on the ones that were victory. I really thought that the authors will write that the addictions have been overcome pretty easily and mostly would be put in the background. Instead, we saw the true face of the addiction. The sickness that changes people, that makes them lie, and hide and hate, and love in a selfish way. But Lily and Lo started fighting a never ending battle with themselves and they managed to overcome the most difficult part of their personal hell-they admitted to themselves that they are addicts. And that is not easy. I loved all of the couples, because every single one of this six people was unique. In general, every author has a voice that you can recognize in their books, but here the characters had the voice. They were so different from one another, so complex that it was like every one of them was written by somebody different. I loved it. This book also surprised me. I didn’t expect another bunch of problems, but the books proofed how real they are. In life there are always problems, not defined happy endings. Still, I shook my head thinking “How much more this people can take?” Apparently a lot more, considering we have two more books to look forward too. Anyway, this series has been a great ride so far. (NOT in Lily’s way of thinking). I can’t wait for more.I should confess that I liked Ryke and Daisy the most as a couple. Which doesn't mean that Lo and Lily, Connor and Rose weren't great. As I said, all of them were unique.
What do You think about Addicted After All (2000)?
I loved this series! I can't wait to read the rest of the calloway Sisters.
