This book hit really close to home and made me cry a lot. It was a painful read but I would read it again in a heartbeat. I have read many books centered around addiction and this is by far the most accurate portrayal I have come across. People lie, steal, cheat and even die. You get clean or you die. That's the painful truth. 2 of my boyfriends close friends, 2 of my sisters boyfriends, family friends, people I knew from NA... Too many fucking people now 6 feet under. Despite all the tears and sadness in these pages, I found a glimmer of hope as well. Maybe I have been to my last OD funeral. This is a great book I think for younger teens who are having a hard time "fitting in" I suppose. I know that it is easy to get involved with groups of friends who might not make the right decisions and may suck you into the consequences. I really liked it, it was a quick read but I think that it was well worth it. One of my mom's first picks to buy as an e-book. The deciding factor of her getting her own. I liked it and I would recommend it to others certainly.
whiny. dependent/clingy female protagonist.
