This book will make the first one in my list of 'Books never ever to be read again!' because it's so incredibly beautiful and horrifically realistic that I hate it. I hate the fact that the characters felt so real and alive. I hate the fact that I found that their stories somehow relate to people around me. It's left me all dizzy and tired. A book should never leave its reader out of place and in such an unease.Don't get me wrong - it's a wonderful book and is perfectly written unlike the crap that we find perched on the shelves these days. It's just me who can't tolerate such sweetness. Long long long and so drawn out!!! After investing 2/3 of the way reading it word for word, I realized there would be no drama or suspense to hook me in. So I skimmed it from that point forward and still got the whole point of the story. It was covered in sugar, maple syrup, sweetener...and anything else cavity-inducing. Sorry. I felt like I was reading a middle school diary. I just need a book that has more edge and drama to keep me hooked and wanting to see what happens next.
