What fun, my name is Marla Jean, for real. I have never read a book with the same name as me before and I got a big giggle every time her name, my name was written out. It was a fun, easy read and I think the main character's name was awesome. Also, I am 54 like the confused librarian and my brother is the same height as her brother....and we each only have one sibling, a tall brother. Was there ever a book more tailor made for me? Are these similarities superficial, yes and I still love it. Thanks Molly! I just loved this light-hearted contemporary romance. I loved Marla Jean and Jake. And I adored the narrator of the audiobook production! She did a fabulous job with all the voices. There's nothing complex about the plot but fun characters and good writing, along with a great reader, made this book an absolute delight to listen to. I still would have enjoyed it had I read it in print, but I highly recommend the audio version if you enjoy audiobooks, southern accents and can get your hands on it. I got mine from the library but would have happily spent an Audible credit on it if I had to buy it. Well worth it!
