Thought it was a good book however, being a huge True Blood fan of course I thought it was kind of a spoof off of the show although taking place almost hundreds of years before. Almost like the beginning of vampires. Thought the ending could have been a little more interesting, I felt like the whole build up was to that point and then it just ended so fast. Still was a good book to read and I didn't necessarily get bored with it while reading. This was my first read my Heather Graham. Even though this was a Harlequin Romance, it wasn't bad. HR have come a LONG way since I used to read them in 5th grade. lol And although it wasn't as sexually explicit as the books I normally read, it was still way more than the 'fade to black' stuff back in the day. Cody Fox has been enlisted to help route out a killer that has already destroyed two small towns, and now the town of Victory, TX seems to be the next one. Alex runs a boarding house in Victory and meets Cody after he saved her and the town from rogue vampires. There was lots of vampire killing action, a bit of mystery and some lite smexing which made the story quite interesting. I wasn't quite sure what kind of killer was destroying the town or what Cody was until a ways into the story. The smexing was pretty racy for a HR and they have definitely been kicking it up a notch. There was still a few unanswered questions at the end for me, but all in all not a bad read.
What do You think about Al Caer La Noche (2010)?
The writing was poor and too fluffy. I didn't enjoy it so I didn't finishit.
