I don't know why I thought this was a graphic novel. But it was a re-telling of Alice in Wonderland - well, more of an edit - where the storyline and words are nearly exactly the same. Except most of the people she meats in Wonder- I mean Zombieland are undead. And she has a gnawing hunger which makes her wonder about what the different people she meets would taste like. It was an interesting take (though I know zombies are "in" right now), and I enjoyed this retelling. While this book was prefect for me, I realize many people may not quite appreciate the story. I love Alice and Wonderland and am a huge horror and thriller fan and am no stranger to a zombie movie or story. This book combined both of these loves in a clever retelling of Alice in Wonderland. While many of the main beloved characters can be found here, there are a few missing, in particular Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. None the less, the story is a quick, entertaining read and I found myself almost laughing out loud in a few places.
What do You think about Alice In Zombieland (2011)?
It was a decent idea, but it was not my style. I didn't like it as much as I hoped I would.

I enjoyed how the tone and voice of the original was maintained
