All I Want (2012) - Plot & Excerpts

Pretty Near Perfect is such a beautiful heart-tugging story of two individuals who have seen tragedy and fragility of relationships, how things change for them surprisingly one Christmas is the crux of the story. Even though it's a short story, it had all the makings of a good book. I thoroughly enjoyed this short romantic escapade.Six Days of Christmas is another beautiful romantic story that tugs at your heart. It has its roots in character's childhoods' and then moves on to adulthood. It's a story about life and living and setting the priorities right in life.Twist of Fate is one more story about changing relationships and realizing the true feeling of love.In all, the three stories are beautiful and well plotted. The characters real and likable, the emotions heart touching and situations realistic. This book makes a good read for Christmas-y days and lifts up your mood. The only thing - all the stories had a similar plot, I had gone in hoping to read something different. I LOVED this anthology! It inspired me to gather a couple of my writer friends together to write one of our own. You know a book is good when it inspires you. Each story, although short, felt complete, not always true with a short story. I easily invested in the characters, could relate to their situations, and cared about what happened to them.Pretty Near Perfect: This is my first, but not my last novel by Jolene Perry. I loved this story. The writing was smart, fun, and entertaining. The story, for me, had just a taste of the movie Dan in Real Life, one of my all-time favorite movies. Although this is entirely different story, it still had the Dan charm I joy.Six Days of Christmas: Great fun story. Kaylee Baldwin's story quickly drew me in also and had me rooting for Natalie. It was fun and very enjoyable. Watching Natalie grow, change and become aware of the feelings deep inside her made for a tender read. Kodos Kaylee!Twist of Fate: I have read a couple books by Rachael Anderson before. I enjoy her style of writing, her rich humor, her tender words, and this story was no different. I LOVED Ty. The story was fresh and fun. I enjoyed the playful banter between the characters. I even enjoyed "the mother" :}} Great job-again-Rachael.Over all I'd give All I Want five Christmas smiley faces . The book is a steal at just $2.99, a true bargain in these tough times!Hurry and buy a copy before they sell out...;}}} Okay, it's an eBook and they won't sell out, but hurry anyway! You won't regret it.
