He couldn’t help but feel different since his argument with Grace. It wasn’t as if he didn’t appreciate his new position….he’d earned it, after all. But he was finally realizing what it had cost him to get there. He didn’t regret his hard work for a moment, but he did regret neglecting his marriage for it.
