OK this review has some spoilers below, but it's necessary for my review.I have a love/hate relationship with this book. There was so many things I loved, but there other parts I hated. I really like the main male character in the book. He is definitely understanding, patient and went above and beyond for the girl he loves. But honestly the girl really got on my nerves at times. HERE IS THE SPOILER BELOW -------------The main female has a boyfriend and she cheats on him with a the main male lead. She continues the "AFFAIR" for months. She knows it's wrong and keeps doing it over and over and over again. HeR concept is "if no one gets hurt what's the big deal". Essentially she is too weak and self absorbed to end anything with either men. I don't condone cheating at all, so that's why the lower rating.I did enjoy the main male lead and all the supporting characters. It's just the female lead and the cheating concept I didn't like, but I still enjoyed the book. And for the more sensitive readers. This book is full of sex, but the scenes aren't horribly graphic and are really quick. There is also a handful of swear words, so extreme. This was a poor rendition of the Thoughtless series. At least Kiera in Thoughtless redeemed herself eventually and I could actually feel the struggles and emotions the characters felt but this book seemed empty. Kieara and Kellan had a friendship going and it developed, they got to know each other and it was convincing. Not this Irelan and Lucas.Irelyn was a selfish girl and Lucas was weak. None of the characters in there really popped, none of them made u want to know more about them. Well maybe Collin, Morgan, Bailey and Torri were good, I wish the author would have written more about them. They seem like they had more potential than the leads. *spoiler alert*. I don't understand the cheating....was she just too horny? If she really loved Dustin that much in the beginning, she wouldn't have cheated. It didn't seem like either of them had a relationship developed and it was just pure lust and grew from there. But even from there, what did Lucas see in Irelynd?? Irelynd liked Lucas because he encourages her to be herself, what about him? The book was mostly her wavering, procrastinating (because she's selfish) and some sex, but nothing else. And the sex...well no hot sex scenes that made me hot and bothered, all very muted...at least if it was hot, I'd get something it of it! And her procrastination...my goodness I wanted to just reach into the book and slap her! A fall down the stairs was easy on her. And for Lucas to accept her like that after what she put him through, all the wavering and indecisiveness and not actually vocalizing her feelings to him to reassure his feelings for her, he was totally ok with it?? It just didn't make sense to me. And the necklace that Lucas got her? Description sounded goddy, tacky and just bleh...it wasn't personalized nor did it hold a significant meaning. Kellan in Thoughtless' necklace is way prettier.
What do You think about All The Wrong Reasons (2011)?
3.5-4.5 stars just took me a bit to get in it. But it ended very nicely. :)
