I have read both books in this series back to back and now I'm dying for book three! That cliffhanger is killing me! Finally my Cal is back! I'm sorry but Chris is okay and everything. . . but can Cal just come back and stay puhleese?! Cal has all the sexy swoon worthy traits and Chris gets the sweet honorable responsible boring traits lol. Okay. I know that is unluckily to happen but a girl can dream right? So in this sequel we pick up exactly where we left off in book one. Through this sequel we find Chris fighting through these random memories that belong to Cal and trying to sort his feelings for his wife and his fiancé. We have Lauren pining after Chris through the whole book which actually surprised me cause she wanted CHRIS and not CAL and I found this unbelievable. She pines for Cal for years and goes to extremes for him and yet she so easily disregards that. Yes, her situation is totally whacked and technically Cal isn't real, but I figured she would at least once have a selfish thought of, "why can't Cal come back to me and stay". Yes it's the right thing to want Chris to get better but I figured Lauren would at least have one thought of wishing Cal would come back and stay. If I was in that situation or any woman for that matter, who wouldn't think that or say that at least once? But surprisingly Lauren didn't. She seems to blame Cal and feel bad that he "ruined" Chris's life. It's all really messed up. And confusing. But oh so good. We have drama with the friends and family and we have secrets that keep us on the edge of our seat cause we're dying for them to be answered. What was the traumatic event that caused Chris's issues? What happened with his dad? And his Bestfriend Lisa? And his doctor being Helen, what's up with that?Overall I loved this book and this series is so good. I love the characters both main and secondary and the plot and writing has me completely invested. It's been months since I had a book I couldn't put down and this series has pulled me out of my book funk. I highly recommend. Oh, and book three, please hurry up! :) I only gave this book four stars because of poor editing/proof reading. In my copy there were a lot of grammatical errors which I do find very, very annoying.Having said that I found the storyline excellent, so different from your usually virgin meets billionaire, angst ridden crap that is around a lot these days. It was very emotional, the main characters were great and the support characters were more than one dimensional. It was a good story, well told, and the cliffhanger ending was perfect.I'm looking forward to the final book which has to give Lauren a happy ending because she is the only one who loves and can cope with both Chris and Cal.
