Excellent book. I totally enjoy reading Craig Groeschel's works. He makes you think and challenges you to walk closer to God. My wife tells me it's not a "feel good" book because Craig points out where I should be vs. where I am in my daily walk with God, which for me is a good thing since I do have a ways to go. Craig and Francis Chan are excellent at motivating me to do better. Read them both; you'll be a better disciple. This book is actually pretty interesting. The first thing that drew me to it was the spelling of Altar instead of Alter. This makes it clear that the book deals with leaving who WE think we are on the altar and embracing who GOD says we are. This book is aimed at the person who is learning who they are in Christ and needs encouragement in embracing our God given identity and living in that identity. For me, I am a daughter of God, an heir of God's Kingdom and I embrace that.
It was good, although maybe not as good as some of his previous efforts, I still enjoyed it.
