The only reason I read this was because I had purchased the book a while back and I wish I never had. Every other page is sex. Sex doesn't solve problems people!! Talking and communication does!! Nikki got on my nerves with her stubbornness. When she was getting those threatening notes/texts and what nots she was refusing Damien's protection! She fought him about the car, the security, everything! Ugh. No. Then she gets pissed when he deals with the Gisselle crap for her. What would Nikki have done? Told her off? Cussed her out a bit? Damien kicked her ass to Florida. Sometimes you have to let other people fight your battles if they are going to get better results than you. & Damien can and will get better results. And don't get me started on the crazy crack head Monica/Sophia drama. Ugh. And the cutting issue. I personally think it wasn't handled correctly. "Self Medication" only makes things worse. I'm just glad I'm done with this series. 3 1/2 *** I felt that this book was missing something, I just don't know what. It was well written, but I was not drawn in as much as I would of liked. I wanted to scream each time they addressed each other as Mr. Stark and Ms. Fairchild. It was way over done in my opinion. Damien is definitely one of my book boyfriends he not only takes care of Nikki he shows her he loves her, I just wish he would of said it more to her and sooner. The sex scenes are hot, but I thought there were too many. Crazy right? Although I do enjoy a good sex scene I found myself thinking, ok here we go more sex. I liked Nikki in this book, she did not give into Damien too easily. She was strong with her urges to cut, even though she fell off the wagon momentarily. Despite the things I didn't like and felt were missing I still enjoyed the book as it gave a conclusion to their story.
