An Approach To Extended Memorization Of Scripture (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
What a blessing to come across such a fruitful little book that is so short! There's nothing worst then wasting time reading an author explain in ten different examples of how to go about doing something. This book, devoted to helping anyone memorize entire books of scripture, has left me with great verses to motivate me to saturate my soul by the memorization of God's word, but now also far more memorization than I thought do able. This book helped me realize the reality of the simplicity of memorization, even of entire books, and I can't wait to see where God takes me on this long blessed journey! I love Dr. Davis' heart for making sure you are led by God to do this, It would really be of no benefit any other way! This was a good quick read on scripture memorization. I have heard of people who memorize entire chapters and books of the Bible and couldn't imagine how one goes about doing that. Well, this little book presents an approach anyone can use starting today. It is very practical. The technique started to get a bit convoluted once the discussion turned to memorizing longer books such as Matthew. Otherwise, I am excited to get started with either I and II Timothy or Psalm 119.
