An Unexpected Kiss: A Christmas In Snow Valley Romance (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
I was given the boxed set of all six "A Christmas in Snow Valley", in exchange for honest reviews. Where possible I will review each book individually. I really liked "An Unexpected Kiss". All of these stories take place in Snow Valley Montana. This one was a wonderful clean romance. There are some characters that are in every book, such as the Pastor, as well as familiar places and events through out. The characters are fun, the theme is love and Christmas, and there isn't another town that does Christmas like Snow Valley. I can recommend this to ages teen and up, as there is no swearing or sexual content. I will be reading more by this author. Good job! I give it four stars. Lucy is headed home to spend Christmas with her family; she is excited to spend the holiday in the small town she grew up in that makes Christmas a magical experience. She is not excited about her ex-boyfriend from many years ago picking her up at he airport, due to her mom's continued push to get them back together. At the airport in an impulsive move Lucy kisses a complete stranger to try and get her ex to finally move on. Little does she know this kiss will lead to something unexpected.This is a short novella that can help get you in the Christmas spirit. As Lucy describes why she loves Christmas and what makes it special, I couldn't help but see Christmas in a more child-like level of excitement. It took me a little bit to get into the book but I soon found myself invested. The book is very predicable and even cliche, but it is so lighthearted and fun that you can't help feel good reading it. If you are looking for a fun, light hearted read that can be easily finish in one afternoon, this is a great book to choose. The book is clean-book- free of vulgar language, sex or graphic imagery.
