Anchor And Storm (2009) - Plot & Excerpts

I didn't think that I would like this book it was picked for me in a challenge I don't read a lot of historical with that being said I loved it. Emily wanted to give Edgar an heir and was told that he could pass his disease to his children so he asked his wife to take a lover. Emily didn't know what to think when her husband suggested she sleep with another man to get pregnant. Angus was shocked when Edgar suggested that he have sex with his wife he was already in love with Emily he agreed to be with her. This book was sad in the end but I was happy for Angus because he got the girl I gave the book 4 stars because of the language. First I have to say that the cover is kinda misleading about the book.There is definetely a menage but it's a beautiful story in 1750's about love, sacrifices and definitely drama. I was so moved by the way Edgar did what he did because he loved Emily so much and the end definitely leaves you feeling a little sad but in a good way because things couldn't be any other way. I definitely reccomend it if you want to read a book about love and drama.
