Teegan McNeel meets and develops a crush on Garreth Adams. Garreth seems to like her too! But there is a catch…Garreth is her Guardian Angel. With Garreth’s arrival, comes Hadrian, the dark angel that has plans to over throw Lucifer and only Teegan stands in his way.When I write out that synopsis, it sounds so cheesy, and maybe the plot was a bit cheesy, but it wasn’t that bad! Actually, I enjoyed it for what it was…a girl being fought over by two delicious angels…I mean who wouldn’t want that problem? LOL!Teegan is a good kid…a bit of a wallflower with only one friend, Claire. She puts other people needs before her own and finds the good in just about everyone, maybe not her bully Brynn. And she just kind of plugs along. Garreth, meanwhile, spills the beans on who and what he is pretty quickly, assuming Teegan isn’t going to run screaming from the room, and she doesn’t…he did hit her with the “undying love” thing pretty fast but seeing as he is only going to be earthbound for 8 days, I guess he doesn’t have much time to waste. Of course, everything goes to hell in a handbasket, pardon the pun, pretty quickly thereafter and Teegan is left to save the day. See, pretty run of the mill, but enjoyable. Short review for now. Longer review for later.I would say I give this book like four and a half stars. But anyways, why is that? It's the pace of the book, seemed rushed. However, I do understand why it's so fast, because of the eight days that Teagan is allowed with her Guardian Garreth. So that's understandable, but still it should've been slowed down.Other than that!I LOVED IT! I just simply LOVED it! The plot and characters are so freaking loveable! I couldn't help but love them! I even like Clarie on some levels, even when she acted like a total jerk with Teagan. But I feel sorry for her.Garreth is drool worthy, just my kind of guy. Sweet, timid, funny, innocent, and just too dag'gone beautiful. Teagan was a wonderful character comepletely relatable. Hadrain is that type of villain that you seem to be drawn to, like Teagan is. Maybe there will be a romance between him and Teagan? I kind of hope not, I just don't really like him.Jennifer Murgia has done a wonderful job with the plot and characters!
What do You think about Angel Star (2010)?
The book can get extremely religious at some points but it is incredibly well-written!
