When I start to talk out-loud to the book, I have myself a winner.Kara Newell has a big-city life that is given a very big wake up call when she attempts to take a vacation. Ex-marine Jeffrey Hamilton get a wake up call from his cousin to do something that will change his life fall all time. The journey is one to remember, it gives you a insight to family some may never want to experience. While I really enjoyed the storyline, and the author did a good job of describing the mansion, the author did fail to do a proper job when describing the characters. I did not get a clear picture in my head of what exactly the main characters looked like. The author kept saying that Kara looked exactly like her relatives, but I didn't feel that the readers were given enough information to visualize what she actually looked like. That made it difficult to enjoy the otherwise wonderful story. I gave it four stars because the story deserved it.
