Sweet and funny!All begins with a self-help session, which cracked me up, since the dodo lady admited, she only spend two hours staring at the animals. The two guys are also exotic shifters. I had to google the animals they shifted into and kind of got hung up on that. Or imagining kinkajou charging a rober, that had me grining like mad because of course the cute geek who turned into a pangolin helping him! This story is outrageously funny, cute, and has a great moral as well. Starting with a group therapy session for weird shifters (such as a dodo, a walrus, a kinkajou and a pangolin) and continuing with the play on superheroes, I can recommend this if you want a laugh. Heavy on the sweet and with just a touch of tender, the upbeat message for anyone who is different or feels their abilities just aren't properly valued comes across loud and clear.Terry is the pangolin shifter, and boy, does he have a case of no self-confidence or pride in what type of shifter he is. It's his first visit to the group therapy session, and he's already trying to back out. His painful shyness combined with his shame about being a nerd and a weird shifter makes him a prime candidate for depression.Craig is a kinkajou (and yes, I had to Google that one), and I'm not sure why he's in the group because he's pretty self-confident and not in the least shy about approaching Terry. Maybe he's been to the sessions a few times, and has managed to work out his issues, whatever the case may be, he's exactly the right guy to pull Terry out of his funk.If you like shifter stories about unusual animals, if you enjoy reading about men who help each other find a new purpose in life, and if you're looking for a read that is both funny and upbeat while not taking itself to seriously, you will probably like this free short story a lot!
