Gayla discovers that her husband has cheated on her. She flees their New York apartment going to their home in New Bern CT where she falls in love with the town, and learns to quilt. Brian drives up to see her since he doesn't know why she left. They finally agree to date and try to make their marriage work. There are other woman in this story with problems also. Their is the owner of the quilt shop and they ladies who have formed a great friendship and they make her one of them. A great book of friendship, trust and love. This is the story of Ivy and Gala. Ivy is a single mom of two after divorcing her abusive husband. Gala is a college counselor who accidentally opens a memo her husband has written her asking for a divorce; but he wrote the memo a number of months ago but hadn't sent it.Both women end up in New Bern and join in the Quilting Circle at Cobbled Creek Quilts. There is a lot to be learned about perseverence, forgiveness, and being honest in this book.Excellent story.
