I seriously loved this book!! And no, it was not what I expected. I can't say much without spoiling it.... Sidney has lived a rough life, and now she's trying to get it back together, for the first time she is exposing herself to the world, one she doesn't know much about. but what happens when she meets Liam? Who is Lane? Will she be able to allow people around her. A different plot and one I enjoyed so much. My first book from K. Webster and I'll definitely be reading more form her. The beginning of this book had some quite disturbing scenes. The mother....ugh, hated her so much. For those who know the movie "The People Under the Stairs" Sidney's mother reminded me of the crazy mother from that movie. When Sidney is finally free from the constant abuse she has endured she has to learn how to live like a normal human being. She has a friend/therapist that helps her learn how to do the normal things she wasn't able to do with her mother around.Shortly after moving into her new apartment she meets Liam, she finds him to be scary at first, but the closer she gets to him the more she is attracted to him. The more time they spend together the more Sidney starts to come out of her shell and her OCDs seems to be diminishing everyday. I loved this book, it is brilliantly written and very unexpected. This book has one of those rare qualities that you don't find in many books, and I can't even explain what I mean without ruining the book. With that being said, just go one-click and start reading, you will not be disappointed. This was my first read by K. Webster and most definitely won't be my last.
