She is in dire straights and feels that her only option is to be trained to be a courtesan. He is a man broken by the loss of his beloved wife and son. He's not looking for a relationship - not even with a courtesan - and she needs to be trained to please her future patron. The plot was unusual and it certainly captures the reader attention. The characters are lovable and you can't help but enjoy this book. I have a feeling I will be reading the next ones in the series... This is my favorite kind of book to read. The characters are good people with their own personal problems. The book is set in a past time with a different set of rules then we enjoy today and this makes their journey all the more interesting. The characters in this book are very passionate people and in the end find their HEA through personal discovery. There are some grammar issues in this book but the story is told so well I would still give it five stars.
Nice read. Enjoyed the relationship between Andrew and Lysandra. Would have liked an epilogue.
