Great story about a girl trying to decide between what her heart wants and what her head says is right. It's April's first day at University and she smacks right into a hot, charming stranger. She is immediately attracted to him and accepts his request for a date without even knowing his name. A few minutes later she meets Lukas, the good-looking boy next door type and they form an immediate friendship. Later, while waiting to meet Lukas at a party she runs into Isaac, her beautiful stranger. Sparks fly and everything is wonderful, until April realizes that Isaac is her University Tutor. I really felt for April. On one hand she has this fierce attraction to a man who she thinks she can't have because being together will risk his job and get her expelled. On the other hand she has her best friend, a great, sweet guy who is the safe choice…..or is he?I loved April's BFF, Kitty, a young Mom who wants April to follow her heart…."You deserve a man who makes you feel butterflies. Love isn't safe. Love is crazy and unpredictable. You can't control it and you sure as hell can't fight it. It's one of life's greatest risks...but it's also one of life's greatest gifts."Her advice for April was honest and hilarious, exactly what a best friend should be!!Lots of unexpected twists and turns in this one……….Can't wait for the next in the series.4.5 Stars I got a free copy of this book for an honest review.Bravo, Karlin Perrin! Bravo! I loved this book. I am a new Karli Perrin fan. I couldn’t put it down. I want the squeal like yesterday.April is starting her first year at University and she literally runs into dangerously sexy Isaac and then meets Lukas who is very boy next door but she can only have one. I enjoyed the dynamics of the different relationship and witty banter. All and all, great story.I wanted to give it five stars but couldn’t because of the cliffhanger. I hate cliffhangers so it only got four stars.
What do You think about April Showers (2013)?
Short, sweet, quick read. Really liked it and glad the sequel is out so I don't have to wait for it.
