I loved this book although it was shorter than expected the author built a beautiful town in a very short time. Jason is the Premier wolf in Alpine Woods and smells something very enticing. That is when he sees Samantha. He knows that she is a shifter jut not sure what kind. Samantha is an artic fox shifter and was kicked out of her skulk at the age of 21 and has always felt unwanted and unloved. This all changes when she meets Jason. Throughout the book they fall in love and Jason wants to claim her as his mate bus Sam is skittish. While getting lost in the woods she lands in another shifter town but this time with foxes where she meets Cody. He is a crafty one. I liked all the characters in the book and will continue with the series. This was a really sweet, fast paced story! I loved the main characters and even the plot! I especially, loved the relationship between Samantha and Jason! I mean can you say HOT AND SPICY!!! But it was also really sweet and very touching! I love stories like this...shifters + love = a great book!! WOOT WOOT!! I actually stumbled upon this book by accident! I hadn't even heard of this series before...but I am glad I did! I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series, especially Julie's book! Jason is an alpha wolf and he is every bit the hot piece of ass you are imagining him to be!! He is funny, kind, nice, intense, sexy, protective, sometimes jealous (only if Sam has eyes for other men, LOL) and man oh man is he a great lover!!! LMFAO....no really he was just really easy to connect to and I love that about main characters! If you can connect to them....you can enjoy them!! Or at least that's what I say! ;pSamantha is also a shifter....but she is a fox!!! She is an arctic fox....and she is literally tiny! I thought that was the cutest thing ever, especially since Jason tries so hard to protect her just based on her size!! LOL XD I really loved her personality and even though she was hesitant at first to get to know Jason, due to her shit past, she really opened up her feelings and changed into a different, better person through the course of the story! And their relationship was a major contribution in allowing her to take a risk and give her heart away to someone who will cherish it!!! A great read and a great book to pass the time! I recommend it to all the shifter fans out there and also for people who just wanna take a break from life and read about a sweet romance....that'll make you grin like a fool! =)
