*** I recieved this book in exchange for honest review *** I quite liked this book.It had all aspects which I'm interested in - history ( about Egypt),romance,mythology,war.. I've always been fascinated with history of Egypt, maybe that's why this book became on my favourites.I loved the relationship between Xarion and Star.Their love story is beautiful ,yet tragic.I will definitely read other works of this author, because the books are truly interesting and worth reading! First I have to say that Trisha Wolfe is an amazing writer. She has created this world where I felt like I was in Egypt sitting right next to the Pharaoh. The descriptions and the actions of the characters is so strong that while you are reading this novella you are caught up in the world and when the ending came I was like Holy Pharaohs because I wanted more no I needed more. Can you imagine you are a chosen Guardian to the Pharaoh and you take your job seriously so you don't want to do anything to mess it up. You work hard day in and day out and watch the Pharaoh all the while secretly holding in that you are in love with the Pharaoh. You can never act on your feelings or make them known because it is forbidden to have those feelings and you can never ever act on them.Star is Caesarion's guardian but she is also secretly in love with him. He is forbidden because he is human and the son of Cleopatra and the Pharaoh but Star loves him and when it comes to duty she will serve and protect at all costs but what happens when she will have to chose between saving her people or saving her Pharaoh? What will she chose? Will love be the deciding factor for her? Read on to see!
What do You think about Astarte's Wrath (2000)?
I think this could have been developed into a longer book, or it's own series. But I liked it.
