I wish this book had been fledged out more. I had hoped the author would spend some time slowly building the story up so that by the time the characters are thrown together and are on the run, we have a better feel for them and want them to end up together. But it felt like I was being thrown in the middle of the story and expected to automatically care about and like the characters and I couldn't do it. As a fan of Marissa Farrar's books I received a free copy of her latest book in exchange for a fair review. I really enjoyed the first book of this series, Autumn's Blood, and wasn't in the least disappointed with the second book in the series. A great mix of action, conflict, romance, all with a little science thrown in, bringing all the characters' stories together in a fast paced page turner....and in typical Marissa Farrar fashion ending the book leaving the reader dying to find out what happens next - bring on Autumn Rising!
