This book wasn't bad, however I found it more ridiculous than sublime. The characters were very cliched, and the menagerie was to over the top to qualify for a mature aged reader in contrast to a younger audience. The romance was kind of lame and the credibility of the characters was pretty juvenile. The book seriously lagged through a couple of sections, making the novel too long and leaving me skimming towards the last quarter of the book.I might consider giving the next book a bit of a go, but I'm certainly not holding my breath. As much as Goldie will hate me for saying this, I found this book to be quite cute. I've read a lot of drama filled stories lately, so it was nice to have this story to help counter those things. I definitely enjoyed this read and found myself laughing out loud many different timesGoldie is a character that I instantly liked: spunky, adorable, and someone that could kick butt if needed. I found myself wanting to read more of the authors other books just so I could discover her other characters. One thing I found odd was the lack of drama, but I wouldn't say it was a bad thing - just unexpected. I've read so much drama lately that this was definitely a relief. If you're looking for a quick and easy read, and a good laugh, this is a great book to read!
What do You think about Baehrly Breathing (2000)?
I really wish this had a different cover. It's so cutsey, and the cover does not match at all.
