It’s packed in here tonight. But Ryder’s Heaven always is on a Saturday night. My brother has done well for himself with this place. When he bought it last year it was a rundown hole in the wall. Now it’s the place to be. Women in short skirts and tight jeans line dance into all hours of the night and men place bets on riding the bull or pool. There’s always a fresh batch of women to pick for the night too. With the local college close by, the girls flock to this place, all hoping to find them a cowboy to tie down. I hate being here, but being out of town, Ryder had asked me to look in on the place. I’d rather be down at Whistler’s, the hole in the wall bar down the road. At least there I know the women are of age and just looking to get laid. Especially the little blonde waitress. I can never remember her name, but she’s pretty good in the sack. They aren’t city slicker girls just trying to dress up and snag a cowboy to show off to their friends.
