Barely There is one of those short stories that would have made a fantastic novel. Interesting characters that would have made a lasting impression with a novel-length story. A very interesting premise that would have smoked with a novel-length story. And therein lies my biggest issue. Short stories don't usually have enough meat to satisfy most serious readers. I used to think it was disappointing when a short story wasn't well written. Now, I know it's hugely disappointing when a great short story IS well written. I just want more. For those that enjoy short stories with a touch of conflict centered on a love-crossed couple, Barely There is the story for you. You won't be disappointed. I think this book, if it can even be called that, is another missed opportunity. This "author" could have stretched this into a full length book as opposed to the basic outline of a porn film. With what little, yet deep back story the characters have, there could have been a serious story full of conflict, discovery and love. This just missed the mark. And let's not forget, the formatting of this, so called book, is horrible. Was this self published? If an actual publisher released this, they should re-think their profession.
What do You think about Barely There (2000)?
I enjoyed this book, very interesting premise! Will definitely look for more by this author.

Give It a 4.5 even though it was so short. This would have made a fantastic long book.
