Another wonderful story by Sherryl Woods that takes place in Chesapeake Shores. Susie O'Brien and Mack Franklin had been friends forever and even though he wanted more, she was afraid because of his reputation with women. By the time she was ready to make that big step, Susie was hit with the news that changed her whole future. Was she willing to take the necessary steps to have the life she wanted or was she afraid of how long she had to live? Susie knew that Mack loved her but she did not want to put him through the problems she was faced with. He needed more, she thought, but did he? A great book to make you think about what is important in your life and who you want to spend it with. Susie O'Brian and Mitch Franklin had been friends for years, but they refused to admit that they loved one another. Mitch had played the field for years, and Susie did not trust that he could settle for only one woman - her. They had no sooner admitted to their mutual love when Susie found out that she had ovarian cancer. Mitch immediately convinced Susie to marry him so that they could fight the ugly disease together. The plot lacks believability, but fits in the "love conquers all" genre.
