Another Chesapeake Cove book. Mack and Susie have been friends for a long time They finally make a commitment to each other after Mack loses his job and then Susie has ovarian cancer. The way they deal with these bumps in the road are key to this book. Along with that Susie's brothers have relationships with older women. Gram Nell continues to be the leader of the family. Many of the characters are known from the earlier books in this series. It was not quite the story of the previous books in the series. I wanted to give it 3 and a half stars. I hate to say it, but I am glad that something forced Susie and Mack out of their whole not dating thing, it was stupid. I did hate to see that it was something so bad though. Even with liking where things were going for these two, I did get annoyed with their not talking to each other about the really important things in their lives. Each argument that they had was due to not really trusting the other and not talking, it got old fast. I also think that Mack was an idiot for bringing the specific help in that he did. Even though he okay-ed it with Susie, it smacked of stupidity personified! I was happy to see where thing ended and can't wait to read about the trip to Ireland.
This was the first Sherryl Woods book I've read and I definitely will read the others in the series.
