Beautiful Mess Photo Idea Book: 95 Inspiring Ideas For Photographing Your Friends, Your World, And Yourself (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
This book just happened to catch my eye from its shelf as I was passing by in a bookstore, probably because the cover was a set of photos of the sort that I would like to take, but never manage. I'd never come across the blog before. it turned out to be just the trigger I needed to try using a DSLR camera again, instead of just a point and shoot. Now I'm busily and happily playing with my camera. I tried out some of the simple suggestions right away. I hope to go back for more inspiration in the future. This is a cute book, with some cute photo ideas for inspiration. I was hoping that it would give me some more actual tips than it did. However, this book does the exact same thing that some online photo classes have done (such as Big Picture Classes Summer iPhone photography classes) in a more modern format. The book is beautiful, but I prefer having the ideas and inspiration emailed to me monthly or weekly to keep the inspiration flowing. In that sense, I wish I wouldn't have purchased the book.
