Wow wow wow wow this was amazing!! I lost my love for romantic suspense after reading Karen Rose's full back catalogue but this story has brought it back twenty fold! I loved that I didn't really know who'd done it until quite near the end although j had my suspicions. I didn't quote believe the authors attempt to put the spotlight on Jack and I knew from the start there wasn't something quite right about him. Cole loved him but I never did figure out if he was a black man or just tanned? He's described as having dark skin at the start (which says,black) then later 'tanned feet' so maybe he's just really tan? I'm not really sure what a 'craggy' face is either but I imagine it's a lost in translation moment and an American word no one else really gets. I loved Megan she was wonderful and so full of belief in her brother Sean and although at some points I was head banging my desk because she did a few too stupid to live moves it was never enough to completely put me off.I adored Sean too but Cole's partner Nick who wasn't mentioned past the first chapter I would have liked that explained. What a great action packed read! I loved the tension and the angst in this story between Megan and Cole. The reader could see how tough Sean's arrest was for both of them in regards to their relationship. This book had a great mix of both romance and of suspense. The suspense was absolutely nail-bighting and I found myself almost skimming over words near the end because I was so anxious to have Cole come to the rescue. Absolutely great suspense. Even though the villain was obvious it didn't take anything away for me from the story. The love scenes were very hot and very well done. I could feel the sexual tension between these two and it was explosive. Overall, a great book! The only thing I would have wished for was a little more of an epilogue. Maybe we will get a full wrap up at the end of this series. I am so excited to read the rest of the books.Thanks KarLynP for the great review that made me want to read this book!
