Very fast story, interesting twist to the vampire angle. Incredible passion leads Javier and Lilah to do things they are forbidden to do. Even knowing that they have signed their own death warrants they can not fight their chemistry and succumb to it. Their love story was two years in making and on the pivotal night they throw caution to the wind forsaking all repercussions. Very romantic and erotic art the same time. I enjoyed finding this story for free and look forward to other works by this author. I adored stories in which vampires and other supernatural beings live alongside humans openly. I found the author's world creation around how humans and vampires interact fascinating. The notion of a human being bonded to a vampire and pain being caused by another vampire's touch was intriguing. I loved the side stories with the various vampires working in the theater. Snow's anger was an interesting back drop to the romance. Of course a romance denied always makes for an engaging romance. I loved meeting Javier, the hero, first. However Lilah's story was so sad. When Javier started taking risks (as far as Felicity's vampire rules were concerned) and found out Lilah returned his interest? Yum!I also loved the suspense and thrill of "where is Lilah's Master?" as the romance between Javier and Lilah developed.

Very good book. It's a shorter story but I recommend it.
