I gave this two stars because it was just so very terrible, but it's like a B horror film that's bad in all the best ways. I still had to keep reading it and at the end thought it was pretty fun.Just so awful as far as believability, sheer ridiculousness, baaaaad dialogue, unrealistic characters and motivation, etc. And yet...And yet, you'll close the book with a snort of how silly it was and realize you have a smile on your face.Even so, can't, in good conscience, give it more than 2 stars. This book kept popping up as 'Recommended' for me on this and other sites. Other recommendations have worked out pretty well, this one did not.I was expecting more then a typical, shallow adventure story. Rugged and good looking lead character, beautiful scientist so there could be a romantic aspect, and survival of an improbable situation. These books can be fun - but from all the reviews I read, it was made out to be a little deeper then the typical Clive Cussler-esque (which I would recommend any of his over this).Oh well. At least it wasn't too long.
What do You think about Beneath The Dark Ice (2009)?
An enjoyable thriller. If you are a Lincoln - Child fan, this author will not disappoint.

Pretty good. Lots of exciting action. Along the lines of a Clive Cussler book.

the storyline moved well but at times the character was too flat.
