Not a sappy romance. Seriously, for people like me who begrudgingly pick up a romance book, this book is for you Especially if you have had a relationship with someone who turns out to be a gianormous jerk. Julia is in college, and her and Liam's breakup is so very painfully public. What better than to plot revenge for putting this behind her. What's best served cold? Revenge! However, as in true life, this is not as easy and the once clear lines become blurry. Simply a good book to read. Best Served Cold is about Julie a college student who throws a surprise birthday for her boyfriend Liam only to be dumped in front of all her friends, humiliating her. Months later, Julie decides that revenge is in order and to do this she wants to make him so jealous that he wants her back only to then turn around and dump him like he did her. The plans are going along as she plans and then in walks a gorgeous guy that she feels very attracked to. Will Julia continue on with her revenge and deal with the repercussions later? Will she end it all for this new guy? Or is revenge truly the way to heal one’s broken heart? This was a great revenge story. Any girl or guy who has ever been humiliated by their partner while breaking up with them has thoughts of revenge but don’t necessiarly go through with them. This is one where follow through takes place only to be reeled back but unexpected events/individuals. I enjoyed reading of Julia’s plan to get back at Liam and how she was able to incorporate that into her journalism class. The characters all add a uniqueness to the storyline that make it even more enthralling. I love stories where you can attach yourself to the characters, picture them and share their feelings with them; this is one of those. I would definitely recommend this book to others and will be looking into more Tawdra’s books.
