Bestia. Prawdziwa Historia Księcia (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
I'm honestly glad I didn't look at Goodreads reviews for this book before I read it, because I may not have read it at all due to the negative feedback. However, as a sucker for fairy tales, my favorite being Beauty and the Beast, I loved this book. It was nice to get the backstory and get into the Beast's head for a while. Some transitions and the ending were a bit abrupt, but it didn't take away from the story as a whole. I particularly enjoyed the allusions to other fairy tales woven into the story. Overall an excellent read. (With a beautiful cover, I might add.) I was so exited to read this book, but I have to say that I was a bit disappointed when I finished it. I felt like the story was rushed through the entire book. To be honest, the parts I enjoyed the most were the ones where Belle was in them, so that means the current state they were in. Even though I watched the movie just before reading the book, I had much trouble to get into the story.I have to say that I’ve enjoyed the new characters and the added plot twists were very good, but I wish I could’ve enjoyed this book some more.
