Bidding On The Billionaire (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
Mandi is working her socks off trying to make the art gallery she inherited from her mother work, leaving her no time for a social or love life, her best friend Sophia steps in and before Mandi knows what's hit her she's dressed up and on her way to a charity auction where Sophia talks her into bidding on Sergio, Sophia's handsome billionaire brother who Mandi has always had a thing for. The date is a week in Rome which sounds romantic but can she keep Sergio away from work and the all the incessant phone calls, can this week turn into a relationship or is Sergio still in love with Olivia the woman who broke his heart. This is a nice quick easy read, nothing new but a nice romantic story a bit rushed in places and could do with proof reading. There was a good story, but on top of it not being consistent it doesn't flow well. In the gist of the book i liked it and would read something from this author again. I just couldn't get past things in this book. For instance, Mandi is still dealing with the passing of her mother and the confusion of her career, you get hints of that throughout the book but nothing that makes it relate-able, just passing statements. Her attraction to Sergio is something shes hidden for years, and at an event he notices her for the first time. Their relationship starts interesting enough but i feel like it doesn't develop. You don't see why they are so in tuned with each other and it gets serious before you know it. When Olivia gets into the picture i feel an issue that should have been more of a turning point was brushed off. I like the story, it just felt more like an outline to a store then the real thing. I want to try out the rest of the series but for the price it doesnt seem worth it to me.
What do You think about Bidding On The Billionaire (2013)?
This book was sweet, but some of the writing was poorly written. I did enjoy the storyline though.
