I would like to thank Amanda for this great opportunity in giving me these books to read and to review.I can imagine it can be quite frustrating for an author to give out copies of their book and not receiving a review as promised, so THANKYOU!!! ******Here we meet the lovely Harlow Garrington.Harlow has been living a lonely and secluded life for the past 26 years. She has lived in her own little bubble and doesn't socialize much. She has no family as unfortunately they died when she was younger, her then receiving a HUGE compensation settlement, this has efficiently kept her afloat all these years! She loves to divulge her spare time in the vast knowledge of history and ancient geography, and is currently doing a thesis on this. She loves to stargaze, so as she is walking home one glorious night, decides to take a slight detour and take in the whole scenery before her, little do we know she is being watched! Here we then meet the chivalrous Aiden, who is a vampire! :)Now I know there are a few vampire/human love story books out there but I can honestly say that what Amanda has done between these two characters is truly amazing. Yeah maybe the attention was concentrated on them a little too much but it was in a good way as this built the connection, the lust, the love that suddenly grows thorough the story and in a way it manifests the chemistry between them. This is no ordinary Vampire/Human love story, Amanda manages to bring in other mythical creature throughout the history and its truly awesome!Aiden is dark, sexy specimen of a man, well a Vampire.Aiden isn't your average vampire, he isn't at all evil, he's just been walking to earth for as long as her can remember, alone, secluded and without any family. He honestly feels like there is nothing to offer him anything anymore on this human planet, that is of course until he sets his red beady eyes on Harlow. As you read more into the story line of this historical ,Greek, mythology of a story you see the characters embrace the troubled times head on. There's no backing out where Aiden & Harlow are concerned.Harlow develops not only as a human character, but as a women and of a person who holds the soul/heart of a Vampire.I loved reading this book and towards the end I couldn't seem to put the book down.It certainly gets you hooked and with the depth that Amanda writes within these characters, it almost seems like you know them and that you are with them right there; as your reading the story.I would truly recommend this to anyone who loves vampires, Greek mythology or who are interested in a great love story! Can't wait to read the sequel I didn't care for this book. It is flawed in so many ways. The characters are superficial and contrived. The plot had some potential, but the appearance of the goddess of the night, lost me. Something about the writing was distracting and I could not get into the story because I kept trying to figure out what the problem was. There are too many vampire stories to compete with. This one just didn't have what it takes to keep my attention. I finally just gave up and deleted it from my kindle.
