Edy stood in the halo of sunset watching her blonde tresses flutter from the bench where she sat. There was still time to walk away, still time to be sensible. Edy scooted in next to Sandra. Neither girl looked at the other. “He’s not any better, is he?” Edy said. She didn’t know why she asked. She already knew the answer. Sandra inhaled deep and ventured a look at her.
