Blank Spots On The Map: The Dark Geography Of The Pentagon's Secret World (2009) - Plot & Excerpts

I was disappointed with this book, but it was probably my fault. It seemed disjointed and I certainly got lost in all the acronyms and details. The author seemed to enjoy hitting the reader over the head with a point and multiple upon multiple examples of what he was talking about. I don't think I'll remember any of the details, just the main topics that he talked about: hidden prisons, hidden budget items, hidden secret planes, and hidden satellites. Meh...I wouldn't suggest it to anyone. I read this because of an article I read by Paglen. I used his astronomy research/hobby in trying to map the unnamed satellites and compared it with the work of the photographers who were documenting the westward expansion of the US in the 19th century. The rest of the book is interesting, at least it was to me since I had visited Beale AFB in the early 1970s and had seen the SR-71 planes in a fly-by. If you are interested in the spy world and the technology of space spying this will be interesting to you.
