after reading for the second time, i changed my mind and gave this book a 5 star rate!this book keep reminding us of how great God is and His love for us all..sangat ingin tahu darimana DP terinspirasi untuk buku yang satu ini, karena begitu berbeda dengan buku2nya yg lain. ada sisi religiusnya, belum lagi ketulusan hati yang sangat menyentuh dan membuat mata pembaca berkaca2 dan menangis.sewaktu pertama kali membaca buku ini sama sekali tidak memahami kenapa jalan ceritanya harus demikian, kenapa kok kasihan sekali nasib Gannon, meski happy end tp kenapa tidak dibuat happy end yang dalam keadaan terpecahkan semua masalah, but that's the beauty of this story, sekali membaca mungkin tidak akan cukup mengerti pergulatan yang ada didalam ceritanya tp setelah membaca ulang, bersama2 kita diajak oleh penulis untuk kembali berserah kepada Tuhan, bahwa kehidupan manusia diatur oleh Tuhan dan yang bisa kita lakukan adalah berbuat yang terbaik setiap harinya karena kita tidak pernah tahu kapan waktunya Tuhan memanggil, dan mengisi waktu2 berharga dalam hidup kita bersama org2 yg kita cintai dan kasihi. Duh, bahkan saat menulis ini aku jadi menangis lagi hehehee...benar2 dalam maknanya buku ini. Maka pantaslah rasanya mendapat 5 bintang..ya kan..! selamat membaca..
Sweet RomanceTHE STORY: Dana Steele agrees to take the position as a private nurse after the death of her mother in an accident turns her world upside down. Her patient, Gannon van der Vere has run off four other nurses and is not dealing with his blindness well. Determined to make him deal with his condition, Dana refuses to be run off by Gannon's bad temper.OPINION: This is a very sweet romance with some nice angst thrown in but no sex scenes. Gannon and Dana's relationship in the beginning has a little Beauty and the Beast feel to it as Gannon is determined to wallow in pity over his condition and as a result makes everyone else around him miserable. The story relies upon the normal Palmer premise of virginal heroine and experienced, rough and jerky guy. I liked the characters and the story and enjoyed it as a one time read but probably wouldn't return to it again.WORTH MENTIONING: This book is definitely on the sweet side with strong morality and no sex scenes.FINAL DECISION: This was a sweet story with a little more gravitas than the normal Diana Palmer series romance. I enjoyed it as a one time read.CONNECTED BOOKS: This is a standalone book.STAR RATING: I give this book 3.5 stars.
